Help is here!

I got a lot of help! I specifically enjoyed how tutoring with Heather revolved around practice rather than going over class material which is usually done for other classes. Things were focused on my own understanding, which set a pace for Heather which she followed, always checking to see what I thought would be beneficial for me as well. I got a lot of help throughout the semester, really enjoying the simple down-to-earth nature of tutoring where it did not feel like a rigid class or lesson but more like fluid help and conversation. It was always very easy to talk to Heather which also made the environment more comfortable and allowed me to more easily talk freely and openly, without a fear of judgement. The specific style she used with writing often helped, having me write my own work then revise it before doing a revision along with her, was very helpful, allowing me to see specifically which areas I needed to focus on more. Even for practice tests and questions, we always went through things together, and Heather always took the time to explain things to me and ensure that I understood before proceeding, often using explaining it various in ways to enhance my understanding. Overall, I found tutoring with Heather very helpful, more helpful than I have found tutoring in the past, and I feel like I truly have improved as a writer and English student in my time with her.
